Overview

Waterfront Area in Qingshan District in Wuhan is a strip of land spanning 7.44 sq km that situates between the Second Ring Road and Jianshe 11th Road, north to the Heping Avenue. The area faces the part of Yangtze River that flows through Wuhan, and is close to the Wuchang Jiangtan Park.

What DTZ did

DTZ Wuhan Consulting team dived in its vast archive of case studies of developing waterfront areas and provided the Qingshan District project with in-depth proposal for the future development of Qingshan District, underpinned by positioning and strategic planning studies that prioritise the preservation of river views and other natural resources of the district.

Results

• DTZ won the mandate from Qingshan District and Wuhan authority
• Development plan will help preserve the natural scenery and resources while balancing the need for urbanization and rapid business development of the district
• Helping Qingshan Waterfront Area to become a hotspot on the map of Wuhan in the next decade
